Detailed Review
Anexia takes a different route from the scrubbing-centre vendors on this page: its DDoS protection lives in the backbone of the operator that already hosts your systems. Attack traffic is detected and filtered there before it reaches the customer's servers, and the product page lists baseline protection for all Anexia addresses with no extra setup.
The group is headquartered in Klagenfurt and states more than 100 company-owned locations in 70 countries and ISO 9001, 27001, 27701 and 14001 certification on its homepage. The imprint names Anexia Holding GmbH (Firmenbuch FN 388403g) and separate GmbH entities in Austria and Germany, plus an Anexia Inc. in New York.
Baseline plus tuned protection
Every Anexia address receives the baseline filtering against large-scale attacks. On top of it, the DDoS Guard is configured per customer, so thresholds and mitigation profiles can reflect what normal traffic looks like for your service rather than a generic default.
During an attack the product page promises 5-tuple attack detection with CloudLog alerts, which gives your operations team the source, destination, protocol and port view they need to judge what is happening.
What the page does not say
Anexia's DDoS page gives no capacity figure, no SLA terms and no price. A Terabit number or a mitigation time would let you compare it with Myra or Gcore, and you will need to ask for both in a quote.
Layer 7 coverage is also not described there, so web-application floods are a topic for the sales conversation.
Entity and jurisdiction
Read the order form for the contracting entity. The imprint lists Austrian and German GmbH companies for the cloud business, and these are the entities a European customer would normally contract with. The New York subsidiary is a separate company in the group.
For a regulated buyer, a backbone operator in Austria keeps both the traffic path and the contract inside the EU.
Limitations to Consider
The DDoS page publishes no capacity, SLA or price, and does not describe layer 7 protection, so it is hard to compare with the dedicated vendors. The protection suits workloads that already run on Anexia infrastructure. For a service that has to protect servers hosted elsewhere, Myra Security or Link11 are better matches.
Who Should Use Anexia
Organisations hosting on Anexia, or planning to, that want network-level filtering from an Austrian operator and are ready to negotiate thresholds and support terms.
