3 of 7 publish a list price rather than quoting on request

Most statistics about pricing software come from vendors describing their own results. Those numbers are useful but they are marketing, and mixing them into a market picture without saying so makes the picture unreliable. Every figure below carries its source: "European Purpose directory" means we counted it ourselves from reviewed tools, and "vendor-reported" means the company published it about itself.

Market structure

How many European pricing platforms exist in this directory, and how they compare with the wider European software market we track.

  1. The European Purpose directory contains 7 European pricing software platforms as of August 2026: Omnia Retail, Pricefx, 7Learnings, Minderest, PriceEdge, Dealavo and Price2Spy.Source: European Purpose directory
  2. Pricing software represents roughly 2% of the 355 European tools in this directory, which places it among the smaller of the 59 categories tracked.Source: European Purpose directory
  3. All 7 European pricing platforms are proprietary; none is open source.Source: European Purpose directory
  4. That contrasts with the directory as a whole, where 69 of 355 tools — about 19% — are open source. Pricing software is one of the categories where the open-source share is zero.Source: European Purpose directory
  5. The average European pricing platform in this directory was founded 12.6 years ago, making the category older than most software categories we track.Source: European Purpose directory
  6. The median founding year of European pricing vendors is 2012; the oldest are Pricefx and Price2Spy, both founded in 2011, and the youngest is 7Learnings, founded in 2019.Source: European Purpose directory
  7. The median founding year across all 355 tools in the directory is 2013, so European pricing vendors are marginally older than the European software market this directory covers.Source: European Purpose directory
  8. Editorial scores for the 7 platforms range from 8.2 to 9.5 out of 10, with a mean of 8.7.Source: European Purpose directory

Where European pricing vendors are established

Establishment determines applicable law, the competent supervisory authority, and whether a third-country transfer mechanism is required.

  1. Germany hosts 2 of the 7 European pricing platforms — Pricefx in Pfaffenhofen and 7Learnings in Berlin — the largest share of any single country.Source: European Purpose directory
  2. The remaining platforms are established in the Netherlands (Omnia Retail), Spain (Minderest), Sweden (PriceEdge), Poland (Dealavo) and Serbia (Price2Spy), one each.Source: European Purpose directory
  3. 6 of the 7 platforms are established inside the EU or EEA; Price2Spy, established in Belgrade, is the exception.Source: European Purpose directory
  4. Serbia is an EU candidate country outside the EEA with no European Commission adequacy decision, so an EU customer of Price2Spy needs a transfer mechanism such as standard contractual clauses.Source: European Purpose directory
  5. Germany accounts for 100 of the 355 tools in this directory overall — about 28% — closely matching its 29% share of the pricing category specifically.Source: European Purpose directory
  6. Six different European countries are represented across just 7 pricing platforms, making this one of the more geographically dispersed categories in the directory.Source: European Purpose directory
  7. All 7 vendors state that data processing takes place within EU infrastructure, including the one vendor established outside the EEA.Source: Vendor-reported

Pricing and commercial transparency

Whether a vendor publishes a price is itself a measurable market characteristic, and in this category it splits the field almost evenly.

  1. 3 of 7 European pricing vendors publish a list price: PriceEdge from €90 per month, Dealavo from €220 per month and Price2Spy from $39.95 per month.Source: Vendor-reported
  2. 4 of 7 — Omnia Retail, Pricefx, 7Learnings and Minderest — use quote-based pricing with no published figures.Source: Vendor-reported
  3. The lowest published entry price in the European pricing software market is $39.95 per month, for Price2Spy at 500 monitored URLs.Source: Vendor-reported
  4. Price2Spy's most popular published plan is $157.95 per month for 2,000 monitored URLs, roughly four times the entry price for four times the URL allowance.Source: Vendor-reported
  5. The gap between the cheapest and most expensive published entry point in this category is roughly 6x, from $39.95 to €220 per month.Source: Vendor-reported
  6. 3 of 7 vendors offer a self-service free trial: 7Learnings at 30 days, Price2Spy at 14 days and Dealavo at 7 days.Source: Vendor-reported
  7. 7Learnings offers the longest free trial in the category at 30 days, which is roughly the minimum period needed to evaluate a demand model against real sales data.Source: Vendor-reported
  8. The 4 quote-only vendors all serve enterprise or mid-market buyers, and all 4 require a demo before pricing is disclosed.Source: Vendor-reported

Coverage and operational scale

How much of the market each platform actually observes. All figures in this group are published by the vendors themselves.

  1. PriceEdge states it processes more than 100 million prices per day across 65 or more countries, the highest stated crawl volume among European pricing vendors.Source: Vendor-reported (PriceEdge)
  2. Minderest states coverage across more than 40 countries and 15 sectors.Source: Vendor-reported (Minderest)
  3. Price2Spy states it serves clients across more than 40 countries and offers more than 25 report types.Source: Vendor-reported (Price2Spy)
  4. Dealavo states coverage of more than 32 European markets across more than 30 countries, the most Europe-focused footprint in the category.Source: Vendor-reported (Dealavo)
  5. 7Learnings states more than 140 pre-built data connectors, the highest integration count published in this category.Source: Vendor-reported (7Learnings)
  6. Price2Spy states it can check competitor prices up to 8 times per day depending on plan, the highest published crawl frequency in the category.Source: Vendor-reported (Price2Spy)
  7. Dealavo publishes native integrations with 6 e-commerce platforms — WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento, Shopify and BigCommerce — plus the Polish marketplace Allegro.Source: Vendor-reported (Dealavo)
  8. Minderest is the only European pricing platform in this directory that monitors physical store prices, through its InStore module.Source: European Purpose directory
  9. Pricefx operates offices in 5 European countries: Germany, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, France and Italy.Source: Vendor-reported (Pricefx)

Compliance and certification

Certification is evidence rather than jurisdiction, and in this category it is unusually concentrated.

  1. 1 of 7 European pricing vendors publishes both SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification: 7Learnings.Source: European Purpose directory
  2. The remaining 6 vendors publish no equivalent certification set, which means security assurance has to be gathered through a questionnaire rather than referenced from a certificate.Source: European Purpose directory
  3. All 7 vendors state GDPR compliance, which makes the claim non-discriminating; establishment and sub-processor disclosure are the questions that actually separate them.Source: Vendor-reported
  4. 308 of the 355 tools in this directory overall are operated by companies established in the EU, EEA or Switzerland — about 87% — against 86% within the pricing category specifically.Source: European Purpose directory

Outcomes reported by vendors

Every figure in this group is a vendor claim about its own customers. None has been independently verified, and they are listed here because they are frequently quoted without that caveat.

  1. Pricefx reports an average 15x return on investment in the first 12 months and an average 8.4% margin improvement.Source: Vendor-reported (Pricefx), not independently verified
  2. 7Learnings reports an average 10% profit uplift across its published case studies.Source: Vendor-reported (7Learnings), not independently verified
  3. Minderest reports an average 5–10% revenue increase, 9.8x ROI and 80% time saved on pricing tasks.Source: Vendor-reported (Minderest), not independently verified
  4. Omnia Retail names Samsung, Philips, L'Oréal and Decathlon among its customers.Source: Vendor-reported (Omnia Retail)
  5. Minderest names HP, L'Oréal, Brother, Decathlon, Carrefour and Media Markt among its customers.Source: Vendor-reported (Minderest)
  6. Dealavo names Samsung, DeLonghi, MSI, Xiaomi, Acer and Epson among its customers.Source: Vendor-reported (Dealavo)

How these numbers are produced

Directory figures are counted from data/tools.json, the dataset behind every tool page on this site. It contained 355 European tools across 59 categories when this page was last compiled, of which 7 sit in the pricing software category.

A tool enters the directory only if the operating company is established in Europe. Establishment is taken from the company register entry or the vendor's own legal notice, not from a marketing page, and it is what the country figures above count.

Vendor-reported figures are quoted from the vendor's own published material and are labelled as such on every line. We have not audited them. Where a figure describes customer outcomes — ROI, margin uplift, time saved — the label says explicitly that it is not independently verified.

Pricing figures are the published list prices at the time of compilation. Quote-based vendors are recorded as quote-based rather than estimated, because an invented number is worse than an absent one.
